일본에 사랑하는 친구가 한 명 살고 있어요.
그 친구도 도쿄에서 자리를 잡아
귀여운 딸 둘을 낳고 살고 있지요.
In Tokyo,
my best friend lives with her husband and two daughters.
작년 여름,
로은이를 열심히 키우고 있던 그 어느 날,
Last summer,
when I was struggling with Roeun, my baby who was 7 months old,
사막여우가 갑자기 문득
고은이랑 둘이 도쿄에 친구 만나러 다녀오라고 하더군요.
My husband, nicknamed DesertFox,
told me to travel to Tokyo with Goeun, my older daughter.
보통 웃어 넘기기도 하고
다음을 기약하기도 하는데
저도 왜 그랬는지 갑자기 콜!을 외치게 되었고
바로 티켓팅을 하게 되었죠.
Normally, when he told me such words,
I hadn't listened to him though,
on that day,
I accepted it.
그렇게 모든 일이 시작되었습니다. 하. 하. 하.
All things came to happen like that way. ha. ha. ha
고은이랑 단 둘이서
서울을 간 적은 있어도
비행기를 타고 해외를 간 적은 없었어요.
I hadn't had a chance to travel abroad only with Goeun.
사막여우 없이
일정도, 필요한 것들도 오롯이 혼자 준비를 해야 했지요.
So, I had to prepare for it all by myself.
물론 워낙 여행을 좋아해서
그런 거 잘하는데!
Of course,
I love planning things for travel,
and I'm good at it
though,
문제는, 5살짜리 딸과 함께라는 게 가장 큰 문제였어요.
Traveling with my 5-year-old daughter made me think that
it was another thing.
저 혼자만을 위한 여행이었으면
쉬웠을테지요.
Traveling alone must be easy.
혹시나 고은이가 힘들어할까봐
일정은 최소한으로 줄였어요.
I made our schedule relatively lightest on my standard. ;)
친구와 일정도 조율해야 했고
어떤 교통편으로 공항까지 갈지,
휴대폰은 로밍을 할지 등등
왜 그리 어려웠던지요.
I had a hard time planning everything
such as meeting with my friend and her family,
whether getting roaming service or not,
where to stay etc.
How hard they were to me..
일하랴 여행 준비하랴
로은이 키우랴 정신 없는 나날을 보내다
그렇게 첫 날이 되었습니다.
On those days,
I had to work, care my baby, prepare for travel.
And then, the big day was coming.
8월 25일(금) 아침 9시 30분에 이륙하는 비행기라
늦어도 7시에는 부산으로 가는 버스를 타야 했지요.
On Aug. 25th Fri,
we had to get on the bus for the airport
at least at 7 in the morning.
'cause taking off time was at 9:30 in the morning.
짐을 다 싸고 몇 번을 확인 한 뒤에
자는 둥 마는 둥 하며 시간을 보내고
6시 30분쯤 고은이를 깨워
준비를 한 뒤에
I checked our baggage and a bag several times.
I turned over and over on the bed.
I woke Goeun up
and prepared to leave.
신복로터리 버스 정류장으로 갔지요.
We headed for Shinbok Bus Station.
There, we could get on the bus for Gimhae international airport.
가자마자 얼마 안 있어 버스가 왔기에
사진을 찍을 수가 없었어요.
고은이 챙기랴 짐 챙기랴
여러모로 마음이 바빴거든요.
버스 제일 뒷자리에 자리를 잡은 뒤
고은이와 퉁퉁부은 얼굴로 사진을 남겼습니다.
We took a picture after getting on the bus
with our faces swollen.
모두들 주무시는 분위기라
고은이와 소근 소근 오늘의 계획을 얘기했어요.
On the way to the airport,
we whispered about our plan for that day.
김해국제공항에 도착!
일단 바로 발권을 한 뒤에
혹시나 어떤 상황이 벌어질지 모르니
안전하게
수속을 모두 마치고 짐도 부치고
탑승 게이트 근처까지 갔어요.
그리곤 소파에 누워 둘이 찰칵!
기념 사진을 남겼네요.
After arriving at the airport,
we had to go through all the departure formalities first.
And in front of the boarding gate,
we took a picture on the sofa.
고은이가 나중에도 이 날들을 기억해줄까요?
Later, would she remember those days?
다행히 비행기 탑승까진 시간이 좀 남았더라고요.
새벽부터 물만 마시고 부랴부랴 움직여서
고은이가 힘들 것 같아
편의점에서 과일컵을 사다가 나눠 먹었어요.
Before boarding,
we had some time so we had some fruits from the convenience store.
짜잔! 비행기 드디어 탑승합니다~
It was time to board.
두근 두근!
Pit-a-pat!
떠나는 건 언제나 두근 거리는 일이지요.
Leaving for another place always makes my heart pound.
고은이는 2살, 5살 때 제주도 가려고
비행기 탔던 것 말곤
이렇게 해외를 가기 위해
비행기를 타는 건 처음이랍니다.
자리를 잡고 한 컷 또 남겼지요.
It was first time for her to travel abroad.
What was she thinking about?
자리를 잡고 얼마 지나지 않아
승무원이 고은이에게 이런 것을 주었어요.
아무래도 가는 내내 심심할까봐
이런 걸 주시나봐요.
Soon,
a flight attendant gave Goeun some drawing things.
펼쳤더니 이렇게 알찬 구성을 가지고 있었어요.
It was Pororo and was made with various themes.
20여분 지났을까요?
도쿄는 한국에서 너무 가깝다보니
이렇게 기내식을 일찍 주네요.
저희는 출발하기 몇일 전에
대한항공 홈페이지에서
기내식을 미리 골라두었어요.
A few days before departure,
we made a choice for our in-flight meals on the Korean-air homepage.
고은이는 키즈밀로 선택했는데
그 중에서도 햄버거를 선택했어요.
비프 버거와 젤리,
빵과 버터, 곡물바, 바나나우유 등이 나왔어요.
Goeun chose beef burger on kid-meals
It was served with jelly, Banana flavored milk, bread and jam and butter
and a cereal bar.
그런데....
빵도, 바나나우유도, 곡물바도
다 맛있었는데
버거가 맛이 없었어요...윽..
Everything was yummy
but beef burger.
그래서 결국 고은이는 버거 두 입쯤 먹곤
저를 주었지요.
So Goeun gave it to me.
제 기내식이에요.
물과 찹쌀떡, 모닝빵, 치즈와 방울토마토로 만든 샐러드가 나왔어요.
It was my in-flight meal.
Pink colored thing is rice ball called Chapsal-Tteok.
It was chewy and sweet.
전 치킨덮밥이었던 것 같아요.
My meal was chicken rice.
결국 고은이가 이걸 먹고
전 고은이의 버거를 먹었지요.
We exchanged our meals each other.
그리고 짜잔!!!!!
케이크!
Ta-da~!!!!
It's cake!
대한항공에서는 국내에서 출발하는 항공편에 한해서
1년에 한 번 생일 케이크를 제공하고 있어요.
The Korean-Air serves a cake once a year
for passengers who ask one.
But it is a service only to passengers who board departing from Korea.
미리 전화해서 신청하면 된다지요.
You should make a call for the service in advance.
언제 신청해도 상관없지만
마침 제 8월 29일이 생일이라
하늘 위에서 고은이와 둘이
미리 제 생일을 축하했어요.
Actually,
my birthday is August 29th
so we congratulated in the air.
하지만....
However...
사실 케이크도 맛이 그다지..........
the taste was not that..........
그래도! 정말 특별한 경험이었지요.
anyway,
it was very special experience.
다음에 사막여우도 함께 가면
그때도 신청해보려고요. 하하
기내식도 먹고
케이크도 먹고
콜라도 마시고 커피도 마시고
하다보니 금방 도쿄에 도착을 했어요.
Eating in-flight meal
having some cake,
drinking coke and coffee
we enjoyed ourselves in the air.
And......
WE ARRIVED!
네!!!
도착했어요. ㅎㅎㅎ
수화물 찾는 곳에서 캐리어를 찾고
흘러가는 방향대로 나왔더랬지요.
자. 이제 시작인 겁니다.
After getting back my baggage from the baggage claim,
we followed the flow.
Yes.
It's start.
전 1년이 지났지만
작년 도쿄 사진을 보면
자꾸 고은이가 안쓰러워요.
When I look at the pictures taken on those days in Tokyo,
I always feel sorry to Goeun.
고은이는 작년에 엄마와 둘이서 간 도쿄 여행을
너무 너무 좋았던 기억으로 갖고 있는데 말이죠.
Fortunately,
she has very good memories for those days though.
이 두 모녀에겐 무슨 일이 있었던 걸까요?
