포항 호미곶에 가다.

Last year, my family visited Homigot, Pohang.

Homigot means the tail of tiger.

Korean peninsula looks like a standing tiger.

So Homigot is located in the spot of the tail on the map.

작년 추석에,

시부모님과 함께 7번국도를 따라

여행을 했습니다.

울산에서 벗어나서 제일 먼저 다다를 수 있는

포항 호미곶엘 들렀죠.

The hand in the photo above, is called Sangsaeng eui Son

meaning 'The hand of coexistence'

처음으로 상생의 손을 봤습니다.

물론 이 이후로도 몇 번을 더 방문하긴 했습니다만..

상생의 손 중 오른손은 바다에,

왼손은 육지에 있습니다.

Right hand is on the sea,

and left hand is on the land.

During Chuseok - Korean Thanksgiving day -,

we traveled through #7 route.

Photo of my husband, Goeun (older daughter) and Roeun (younger one)

At that time,

Goeun was 65months old (5 years old),

Roeun was 10months old

and the other one was 450 months old. haha

남편인 사막여우와, 고은이 로은이 사진이에요.

이 날 비가 추적추적 내리고

바람도 거세고 날씨가 썩 좋지는 않았습니다.

로은이 10개월에 떠난 여행이라

여행기간 내내 먹일 이유식도

전 날 종류별로 만들어서 얼려서 가져가고

행여나 감기 걸릴까봐

이만 저만 신경 쓰였던 여행이 아닐 수 없었습니다.

다시 하라면..... 

그래도 하겠죠? 여행은 재밌으니까. ㅋㅋ

On that day,

it was rainy a little bit,

and very windy.

The photo was taken by me with my cellphone.

At any angle, 

however roughly I took,

an awesome photo appeared.

사진을 어떻게 찍어도 예술로 나오네요.

심지어 좋은 카메라도 아니에요.

이 때는 샤오미 노트4를 쓰고 있었거든요.

We took the photo putting the hand as the background.

어머님께서 로은이 유모차를 밀고

다른 곳으로 가버리셔서

우리끼리만 한 번 찍어보았습니다.

I lost my focus.

But I think it looks great as it is.

Looking at the photo,

I feel like hearing the wave of the sea.

 초점 어디??

그래도 그 나름의 멋이 있는 사진인 것 같아 한 번 올려봅니다.

Goeun took the photo with her grandpa

behind the statue of the octopus.

Homigot is famous for an octopus.

So the city holds the Feast of an Octopus in April.

도대체 왜 여기에 문어 동상이 있나 했는데

검색해보니 포항은 돌문어가 유명하다고 하네요.

매년 4월경에 문어축제도 한다고 말이죠.

포항에서는 문어가 잘 잡혀서

언니가 형부랑 포항에 해루질하러 자주 다녔던 기억이 나네요.

Being hungry and cold,

we went to the restaurant called Chungcheongdo raw fish restaurant.

We ordered some fish soup, Maeun-tang

and Mulhoi.

The food in the photo above is Maeun-tang.

It is made with fish, some vegetables

and tastes spicy.

I really like it.

When you feel cold or catch a cold,

get this food.

You can sweat a lot and feel warm.

호미곶 바로 앞에 있는

충청도회식당에 갔어요.

저희 모두 충청도 입맛이라

충청도 사장님이 요리한 거면

어느정도 입맛에 맞겠지 싶어 갔는데

너무 맛있었어요.

매운탕과 각자 물회를 시켰는데

물회 무엇!

너~~~무 맛있어서

올해 봄 쯤에 시누이네 가족들이랑

다시 방문하기도 했었어요.

These foods are side dishes.

Of course they are free of charge.

If you want some more, 

just ask the owner.

The closest ones are steamed shrimps

middle one is corn, of course,

and the farthest one is steamed squash.

Steamed squash is boiled down with sugar thing.

So it is so sweat.

밑반찬은 이 정도로 나오는 편이고요.

These are side dishes, too.

The closest one is called Sari.

When you get your Mulhoi, put this sari.

it's just noodle.

And middle one is small crabs seasoned with spicy sauce.

You can eat this even the shells.

Bite and keep chewing.

맛은 전반적으로 다 괜찮았어요.

Finally!

It's Mulhoi.

Pohang is very well-known for this food.

It is made with raw fish, some vegetables especially white radish and cucumber,

pear and special sauce.

I looooooooooooove it!

Mulhoi is for especially summer.

It is cold food.

Actually,

this food in this restaurant was really good,

so, later, we visited again.

그리고 물회!!!!!

사실 물회를 저흰 늦게 먹었어요.

로은이 이유식부터 데워서

저는 로은이부터 먹이고

사막여우는 갈비탕을 시켜서 고은이를 먹였죠.

갈비탕도 괜찮았어요.

애들 다 먹이고 나서야

비로소 저희도 물회를 먹을 수 있었는데

얼음이 다 녹았어도 어찌나 맛있던지요!

사진보니 또 먹으러 가고 싶네요.

It doesn't look good though,

the taste is the best.

정신없이 먹다가 

그제서야 사진 생각이 나서 찍었어요.

역시 물회는 포항이죠!

Our travel during Chuseok started like this.

In fact,

this travel was for my mother-in-law.

At that time, she turned to 60 years old.

사실 이번 여행은 

시어머님께서 회갑이 되셔서

회갑 기념해서 출발한 거였어요.

어머님께서 충청도 (거의 강원도) 분이셔서

저희 아이들 봐주시느라 강원도도 몇 해째 못가보셔서

그 회를 풀어드리고자 출발한 거였어요.

포항 호미곶을 들렀고

이제 로은이 낮잠자는 동안 열~~~심히 달려서

속초까지 갈 거예요.

이 날의 스케줄은 사실 이게 다였어요.

다음날 설악산을 가려면 

이 날은 호미곶을 끝으로 그냥 달리기만 했어요.

그 뒷이야기들은

나중에 또 전해드릴게요.
